What is NOA?+
A physician-led preventive diagnostics platform from Stuttgart. At its core is a blood panel with more than 100 biomarkers, reviewed by partner physicians twice a year. The web app and MCP access also work without a panel — using your wearables and self-uploaded lab results.
Which AI clients work with it?+
Anything that supports MCP. Tested with Claude Desktop, claude.ai, ChatGPT, Cursor, and Perplexity.
Do I need a paid Claude or ChatGPT plan?+
Not for Claude. Custom connectors work on every tier, including Free — which allows one custom connector, so that can be NOA. ChatGPT does require a paid plan: custom connectors run through Developer Mode, available from Plus on the web and currently in beta. Plus and Pro provide read access, which is all NOA needs because we never write data. Cursor also requires a paid plan.
Do I need MCP, or can I use NOA without it?+
You can use NOA without MCP. The web app shows the same data with trends, categories, and baselines. MCP is for anyone who prefers asking their own AI.
What data does the server return?+
Time series from every connected device and app, blood values with reference ranges and measurement dates, calculated indices, and your check-in responses. Always with unit, timestamp, and source — without interpretation. Strava is excluded; see below.
Why isn’t Strava available through MCP?+
Strava’s API terms prohibit distributing Strava data through MCP interfaces or processing it in AI models. Your activities remain visible in the web app, but are not sent to your AI client.
Where is my data stored?+
Our servers are located in Germany. When you connect NOA to Claude or ChatGPT, the provider’s infrastructure — not your device — calls our server. Requested values therefore pass through Anthropic or OpenAI and are subject to their terms. This applies to every MCP server, not only ours, and is worth knowing before you connect.
At NOA, OAuth tokens are stored so we can refresh them. Consent is granted per source and can be revoked individually. We sell nothing and train no models with your data. Full export and deletion are always available in the web app. MCP returns measurements, reference ranges, and timestamps — never physician reports.
Does this replace my physician?+
No. NOA shows measurements and trends. Medical assessment comes from physicians who know your history and medication and is part of the blood panel. If you have symptoms, consult a physician.
Can I upload blood results from another lab?+
Yes, as a PDF. Values become trends and can be queried through MCP, just like values from a NOA panel.
